Yasmin Gardens is located in Akbuk, a small, picturesque fishing village surrounded by pine
forests on a sheltered bay. Akbuk is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes transfer from Bodrum
airport and 1 hour 50 minutes from Izmir airport. It is located approximately 30 minutes drive
from the popular beach resort of Altinkum and is served by a very frequent Dolmus service to
and from Altinkum. Akbuk has a working harbour with a fleet of fishing boats providing the
local restaurants with a variety of fresh fish. Fishing trips and boat tours to nearby bays and
islands are also available, and Yasmin Gardens is a short walk away from a number of small
isolated beaches, restaurants and the centre of the village and the harbour. There is also a small on-site shop selling every-day goods and essentials.
Akbuk offers a multitude of excellent, reasonably priced restaurants, serving quality Turkish and European food. It is well served with a number of supermarkets, shops, and cashpoint machines and
offers a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Altinkum is a very popular resort with large golden sandy beaches and many bars, restaurants
and nightclubs centred around ‘Dolphin Square’. It also has a larger shopping centre and the
regions biggest weekly market. There is a cheap, regular Dolmus service to and from Akbuk
and beyond.
